pysqlite

pysqlite2, OSX, safari, oh my

Want to force Safari to crash every time you start it? Just follow this advice blindly, like I did. It works for pysqlite2 - I've been using it all day. But now Safari won't start (crashes immediately at startup every time) unless I "reseat" the apple sqlite3 libraries I moved.

Can anybody suggest a better fix for running a recent pysqlite without having to clobber apple's older /usr/lib/libsqlite3.0* files?
